So I just heard of Oddisee, the underground producer from the D.C. area. He’s got a neo soul funky jazzy vibe with roots in hip-hop. This track is off of his incredible album: “Rock Creek Park”. On his inspiration for the album he said:
“Rock Creek Park is and always has been one of my favorite places in Washington, DC. It has a way of aging with you and adapting to where you are in life. When I was younger, it was a place for skipping rocks, bike rides and imaginary adventures in the woods. As a teen, it was a place where I played basketball, hosted cook outs with friends and strolled through with dates. As an adult, it’s my short cut through the city from Silver Spring to Georgetown. One thing is constant: it still is, and always will be, my retreat.”
I’m also posting this second track: “All Along The River” it’s an amazing instrumental, but the best of it doesn’t start until about the 4:20 minute marker, so give it some time and let the beat build.
